The Social Network
Harbor Light Therapy & Social Center is pleased to present the Social Network. These social skill groups focus on working with children with developmental disabilities and incorporate typical peer models for optimal learning experiences.
The weekly groups focus on communication and conversation skills,
emotional regulation, building relationships, as well as other age-appropriate social skills. The weekly meetings will provide a fun, safe and comfortable environment that allows children to develop their individual social needs, self-confidence and independence.
Groups run throughout the school year and consist of two consecutive 6-week sessions. Groups are held once a week, Monday through Friday, for one hour. Ongoing communication with families is an integral component of our program in order to determine individual goals for each child and share progress and observations from each meeting.
